LSU has won its first-ever national championship. The Tigers led through two rotations, lost its lead to Utah and took hold of the lead once more after a strong finish on beam. In the fourth and final rotation, five Tiger gymnasts scored a 9.9+, with Konnor McClain's meet-leading score of 9.9625 on beam.

A few unforced errors on vault caused Utah to lose its lead to LSU during Rotation 4. California was able to surpass the Red Rocks with a dominant performance on bars highlighted by eMjae Frazier and Gabby Perea's team-leading 9.9125 score.

California came in second to the Tigers by -0.375. Utah fell from first to take third place, trailing by -0.425 with a total 197.8000 score and Florida placed fourth with a 197.4375 score. Despite the absence of perfect 10s, the leaderboard was stacked as Haleigh Bryant and Frazier tied for best all-around, scoring 39.7125. Utah came out of Rotation 3 with a dominant performance on floor to take the lead from LSU. All six Utah gymnasts scored a 9.9+ on floor, but LSU only had two gymnasts score a 9.9+ on Bars. The Tigers trail the Red Rocks by -0.037 points.

Utah will close things out with vault. LSU will head to beam, California on bars and Florida on floor.

As LSU held onto its lead, Utah was able to knock California out of second place after Rotation 2. Only two LSU gymnasts scored a 9.9+ on vault (Haleigh Bryant and Kiya Johnson) while Utah's Amelie Morgan, Maile O'Keefe and Grace McCallum scored over a 9.9 on beam — amping the Red Rock's lead to surpass California by 0.163 points.

Four teams will compete but only one will take the crown. LSU, California, Utah and Florida meet today, Saturday, April 20, for the 2024 national championship at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

The semifinals set the tone heading into championship action. Two-time reigning champs Oklahoma lost its championship spot after succumbing to a total of five falls during Thursday's Semifinal 2. LSU's Haleigh Bryant became the second-ever LSU gymnast to claim the All-Around title after scoring a total of 39.7125 in Semifinal 1.

LSU hopes to gain its first national title. The Tigers have made a total of 10 final appearances with zero wins. Florida is looking to turn the tide after coming in second during the 2023 national championship. With three national titles under their belt, the Gators come into todays competition in hopes of clinching its first title since 2015. Utah returns to the national championship once more after coming in third place behind Florida during last year's competition — hoping to claim its first title in 29 years. Utah continues to lead after rotation 2 as Jaylene Gilstrap and Maile O'Keefe posted a leading 9.9500 score to add to a total 49.5875 score on the floor.The Gators were able to come back from third after an impressive performance on Vault to trail behind the Utes by -0.275 points. Leanne Wong posted a team-leading 9.9375 score to keep the Gators afloat.

LSU and Cal punched the first two tickets of the 2024 national championship during Thursday's Semifinal Session 1 in Fort Worth — making this LSU's 33rd appearance and the Golden Bears first in program history. The Tigers found themselves in second place behind Cal after rotation 1 but were able to move to first and keep the lead.

The Tigers tied the program's second-highest semifinal score after rotation 3 to finish out strong and best Cal by 0.400 points. Haleigh Bryant clinched the All-Around title with a total 39.7125 score while Cal's Mya Lauzon followed behind with a total score of 39.6375.

Individualist Skyla Schulte (Michigan State) helped Stanford keep its third-place standing and Arkansas is fighting to escape fourth as individualist Anaya Smith (Arizona State) posted a team-leading score of 9.9375 — the only 9.9+ score on vault for the Cardinals.

LSU came back from down -0.0875 after Rotation 1 to take the lead from the Cal Golden Bears at the half with the help of a great performance on Bars and anchor Haleigh Bryant's 9.9250.
