Actually considered playing this league for the first time in many years, only to see that neither of the two abilities I wanted to play got a new gem.

Every time I consider playing this game I get disappointed and decide not to play.

I just saw the transfigured RF gem, and couldn´t stop laughing, poor rf guys, but seriously it´s probably gonna be very good.

Anyway, there are so many good and interesting new gems, I don´t know what to play now. I think I am just gonna use the online wheel of fortune, see where the arrow points and pick that build.

Now your dps depends mostly on mana, since there is no flat damage that increases with gem levels and there is low sinergy with fire trap which was like more than 50% build dps to bosses. Huge mana pool = huge base for dps multiplier. And it needs investment. With normal version you would need to invest in life, but with that you would also get more survivabilty.

I mean, for SC players it wont make huge deal, since it doesnt matter if you rip.

so we just scale RF now and forget about fire trap? or fire trap is still needed for bosses?

Can someone explain this part of the lightning arrow gem too me? I've got no clue what the gem does.

Arrows deal damage final target 4 additional times after sticking in lightning bolts strike every 0.5 seconds

rf only stacking sh*t .-(

even if that skill gives only 100.000 dot i like this skill so much comfy i gonna play it.

Spell damage is not relevant.

I mean , it literally IS relevant now? should make crafting gear way easier as you can just use Essence of Woe for a good spell damage roll until you get other useful mods like dot multi, you arent reliant on gem levels as much anymore.

90% spell roll is the equiv of 90% ele/fire/burning damage now...it'll still take investment into life/mana to get it back to where it was though.

I'd say RF isn't dead, but it's been put into intensive care for observation at least.
